When do we go from disbelieving, cynical and hesitant to willing to try?

Is that driven by a series of disappointments and disasters and regret rumination?

Does that then cultivate the “What the heck? What do I have to lose?” mentality?

What if you could skip the dark of the night part to just “Pass Go”?

Is there any cost to trying from the outset?

If there isn’t, why are people so resistant?

What’s holding them back?
