I often wonder how we know if something isn’t for us.

That something could be a job opportunity, a social invite, a friend, a recommendation to read / watch / engage.

Do we intuitively know that it isn’t our cup of tea or suited for us (and vice versa)?

How much of the rejection is due to our knowing vs. us wanting to be less engaged and exert any effort?

The latter reason is why I believe the majority of people shy away from people they deem high-maintenance, intensive jobs, social events with new people etc.

What about you?

Do you actively seek new experiences and encounters and keep an open mind?

OR

Are you secure in your knowing and current being?
